To Meet You Once Again - Ghazal

And then again, we chanced to meet —

Like rain upon long-thirsty wheat.

Your gaze still held that sacred flame,

My heart again found its heartbeat.

Though lips said nothing, eyes confessed,

Your silence felt like love complete.

That time we lost on crooked roads,

Returned again at destiny’s feet.

With you, the flowers bloomed once more,

Each path again turned warm and sweet.

The love we left in pages torn,

Now found the words to re-repeat.

Your voice — that weary, lovely sound,

Was peace and promise in repeat.
