3. Separation – The Invisible Walls of Fate

We never fought,
never turned away in anger.
There was no blame,
no burning bridge.
Only a moment—
too silent to name—
when life gently pulled us
in separate directions.

Not because we wanted it,
but because
it had to be.

Like leaves drifting
in different winds,
though born from the same branch.

We tried…
Oh, we tried—
to hold on,
to stay,
to speak louder than the silence
that had begun to gather.

But sometimes,
fate does not shout.
It just slowly
closes doors
you didn’t even see opening.

You turned away
not in retreat,
but in surrender—
to something larger,
something neither of us
could touch or turn.

I watched you walk away
like a prayer
returning to the sky—
unfinished,
yet still holy.

And I stood still—
not because I was strong,
but because my soul
was listening.

There are moments
when the universe asks
for stillness
as proof of love.

And I gave it.

I let you go,
not because I stopped loving you—
but because I loved you
so much
I wouldn’t bind your wings
to my need.

But oh—
how the days stretched
like long shadows
without your light.

The streets remained the same,
but the sky lost color.
The rain fell softer,
as if even the clouds
mourned your absence.

Yet I did not shatter.
I did not drown.

Because somewhere within,
your name remained
not as ache,
but as essence.

And I knew—
you, too,
carried a part of me.

We were not broken.
Only paused—
like music waiting
for breath.

Some loves don’t end.
They simply
take a longer road
to reunion.

And though the world forgot,
though time moved on,
I waited—
not for your return,
but for the universe
to turn the page
it once bookmarked
with our names.
