Even After You, I Still Breathe - Ghazal

Even after you, I still survive —

What kind of life? Can I describe?

Each breath feels broken, torn and bare,

A silent ache in every sigh.

The day you left, my soul was lost,

Since then, I don't even try.

Your memories cling like winter’s wind,

In empty sheets, I nightly lie.

Without your light, the world is dim,

Who’s day? Who's night? I can't define.

Your smile still echoes in my sleep,

Its ghost — my sweetest lullaby.

I'm alone, yet never fully so…

Your shadow walks with me nearby.
