When My Lips First Touched Yours

When my lips
First touched yours,
The universe, it seemed,
Stirred in its core—
A hush broke into a thousand sighs,
The stars leaned closer,
And time stood shy.

The moon forgot to wander,
The breeze held its breath,
Clouds paused in silent wonder,
As if fearing to forget—
That moment when
Two hearts became a prayer,
And silence turned to music
Hung sweet upon the air.

No words were spoken,
Yet so much was said,
In the warmth of that kiss
Where our shadows wed.
Your lips, trembling,
Held a world of dreams,
And mine answered softly
Through love’s quiet streams.

That first soft touch
Still lingers in my soul,
Like dew upon the morning rose
That never lets it go.
It wasn't just a kiss,
It was a doorway wide—
Through which our spirits
Learned to collide.

The sweetness of that single breath,
The tremor of your sigh,
Still lights the edges of my night,
Still drapes my every sky.
Even now, when our lips meet,
I feel that same unrest—
The cosmos holding its breath again,
Pressed warm against my chest.

The hush between our mouths
Became a sacred song,
The notes were made of longing,
And the silences grew strong.
That kiss was not a fleeting thing,
Not skin on skin alone—
It was the joining of two winds
Into a thunder all their own.

And do you know, my love?
Even now, when the world sleeps deep,
That first kiss stirs in secret
In the quiet where I weep.

For every time your lips find mine,
The universe once more sways—
And in the hush between our breaths,
All time slips far away.
