The Moment We Parted

 The Moment We Parted

(A Love Letter)

That moment — when you turned to leave,

Time slowed down… like even it couldn’t believe.

The air grew still, the sky held its breath,

As silence fell soft, like a shadow of death.

I stood quiet, but inside, a storm,

Raging, aching — far from warm.

Your eyes held tears you didn’t let fall,

And I smiled… though I felt nothing at all.

We said, “We’ll meet again someday,”

But both our hearts knew — that promise may stray.

Still, we held on, with shaking grace,

To the echo of love in that empty space.

Since then, I've learned to live without you near,

But your memory lingers — so achingly clear.

Love, I’ve found, is not just presence or touch,

It’s surviving in silence, still feeling as much.

The nights are colder, the stars less bright,

The moon seems lonely, missing its light.

But in that moment we said goodbye,

Something eternal refused to die.

For even apart, we somehow remain,

Bound by an invisible, unbroken chain.

You’re still the breath I silently seek,

The poem my heart recites when weak.

Even now,

I belong to you —

Without you, and still, within you.
