A room so wide,
Buzzing with life,
Hundreds of hearts,
Books, dreams, and strife.
But in that crowd,
So loud, so deep,
Your eyes found mine —
And woke me from sleep.
One simple glance,
And all turned still,
As if the world
Bent to love’s will.
You smiled so soft,
I smiled back too,
And in that smile,
My soul met you.
No words were said,
No names were known,
Yet something sparked,
A light was sown.
We started to meet —
In corners shy,
Where time slowed down
And dreams flew high.
You looked like dawn,
In every hue,
I stared in awe,
Just watching you.
I held you close,
You leaned on me,
Our heartbeats danced
So tenderly.
A kiss would melt
The world outside,
Your lips were rain,
My soul’s soft tide.
For days and nights,
In secret grace,
We wrote our love
In time and space.
But jealous eyes,
And bitter lies,
Broke our wings
And dimmed our skies.
We parted ways,
No reason told,
With silent cries
And hearts grown cold.
Life moved ahead,
We wore a mask,
Each breath a weight,
Each smile a task.
But deep inside,
My hope stayed warm,
I searched for you
Through every storm.
Years passed me by,
Hair turned to grey,
But not once did
Your face fade away.
And then one day,
With trembling grace,
I found again
Your ageless face.
You looked at me —
And time rewound,
My soul knew yours,
No need for sound.
We hugged like dawn
Meets night’s last sigh,
Two broken halves
Rejoined to fly.
Now hand in hand,
We walk this shore,
Not as we were —
But something more.
Till our last breath,
Till stars all fall,
We live the love
That outlived all.
